Journal Publishing Ethics Guidelines

The integrity of academic publishing is a cornerstone of our scholarly community. To ensure the highest standards of research ethics and to maintain the trust of our readership, our journal has established a comprehensive set of policies on publishing ethics. These guidelines are prominently displayed on our website and cover the following key areas:

  1. Authorship and Contributorship Policies:
    • We define authorship and contributorship based on the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) criteria, which require substantial contributions to the conception, design, acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data, as well as the drafting or revising of the article for intellectual content.
    • All authors must agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work, ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
  2. Handling Complaints and Appeals:
    • Our journal has a clear procedure for addressing complaints and appeals regarding the publication process. This includes an initial review by the editorial team, followed by an independent evaluation if necessary, to ensure fairness and transparency in our decision-making process.
  3. Conflicts of Interest/Competing Interests:
    • Authors are required to disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could be perceived as influencing the results or interpretation of their work. The journal will publish this information alongside the article to allow readers to assess the potential impact on the research findings.
  4. Data Sharing and Reproducibility:
    • We encourage authors to share their data and experimental procedures to ensure the reproducibility of their research. This may include making data available in a public repository or providing detailed descriptions of methods and materials used in the study.
  5. Ethical Oversight:
    • Our journal is committed to ethical oversight, which includes the use of plagiarism detection software, double-blind peer review, and adherence to guidelines such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). We have a strict policy against research and publication misconduct, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, and fabrication of data.
  6. Intellectual Property Policy:
    • We respect and protect the intellectual property rights of all authors and third parties. Authors must ensure that they have the necessary rights to reproduce any copyrighted material in their articles, and our journal will take appropriate action in cases of infringement.
  7. Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections:
    • We recognize the importance of post-publication discussions and corrections to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the published record. Our journal provides options for readers to engage in constructive discussions and for authors to issue corrections or retractions when necessary.

By adhering to these policies, our journal aims to foster a culture of ethical research and publishing, ensuring that the scholarly record is both reliable and trustworthy. We encourage all stakeholders, including authors, reviewers, and readers, to familiarize themselves with these guidelines and to uphold the principles of academic integrity.
